i had my first (and last) juried art showing a few weeks ago. it was an art & jazz festival where people came to listen to music and the artists were their entertainment while groups were on break. i know a lot of artists make their living from these shows, but i'm not a salesperson, nor do i like being on display in crowd situations. i guess i am simply of the starving artist genre who loves painting to please. the best part of the show was finding out how people perceived my artwork . . . bright, colorful, cheerful, fun, inspiring, happy . . . "you can't be in a bad mood when you look at these".
