this coming september 2007, i will be traveling to africa for an art safari!

i've always dreamed of going to africa, and having my artistic nature be a part of it is an incredible opportunity. since ken (my husband) goes all over the world on an annual boys ski vacation, i thought it was time to treat myself to an adventure. searching the web, i happened upon the art safari site. british water colourist mary-anne bartlett is the creator of this venture where she and a guide take no more than 6 others to malawi and zambia. on every trip, a malawian artist from one of the villages is part of the group. at times we stay along the shire river, out in the bush, and in the forested area. we sketch, paint, photograph, simply observe the wildlife, and visit villages for 15 glorious days.

i can't imagine a better experience for my art and my soul.
